It’s been just over 24 hours since Neil Lennon left his position as Celtic manager and talk is absolutely rife of who his successor will be.  Many names from Rafa Benitez, Roberto Martinez and Frank Lampard have all been discussed in the media but this next name (I have heard small rumblings about this guy) will probably surprise most Celtic fans and cause real cause for debate.

Former England striker, Darren Bent, was speaking on Talksport and suggested that Burnley boss, Shaun Dyche, could be a potential candidate and should throw his name in the hat as Bent believes The Clarets gaffer has taken Burnley as far as he can, “I think he’s taken Burnley as far as he can go with hardly any investment,”

“Surely that’s one he’ll look at (the Celtic job) and excite him a little bit because if you look around the Premier League, if he left tomorrow, where is he going to go?

“There’s nowhere really for him to go, is there? Southampton I guess if (Ralph) Hasenhuttl goes but other than that.

“Celtic, a massive, massive football club, why not?”

Would you take Shaun Dyche as Celtic manager?

YES

NO

Dyche has been in charge of Burnley since 2012 and during his time he has established the Turf Moor side in the English Premier League. He also guided the club into the Europa League where they famously knocked out Scottish side Aberdeen in the 2nd qualifying round. They eventually got knocked out of the competition in the play off round against Greek side Olympiacos.
