As Celtic prepare for the Premier Sports Cup final (and Ross County it has to be said), all the chat (for the cup final) is around whether or not the Japanese striker will be fit in time for the game on Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou has openly said that the player believes he is fit whilst the medical department don’t so it is anyone’s guess whether or not Kyogo will make what will be the biggest game of the season so far.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, journalist Hugh Keevins reckons the Hoops talisman won’t make the cup final in a prediction that will leave the Celtic fans sweating come Sunday, “As someone who’s listened to managers for decades, Kyogo is not playing in the cup final.

“That’s as my interpretation of Ange Postecoglou’s body language and what he’s having to say.

“And remember, Ange Postecoglou came out after the game against Real Betis, his first words on Kyogo where, ‘It doesn’t look good.

“So it’s in his best interest to keep Hibs guessing. Will he play? Won’t he play?

“He won’t play.”

There will always be hope that Kyogo will make the game but then I suppose there is two schools of thought here.

Do we risk Kyogo to win the first piece of silverware on Sunday?

Or do we keep him safe for the Glasgow Derby on the 2nd January?

That is the call that Ange Postecoglou must make.
