The Celtic fans are getting a bad rep right now.

At this time of the year, you can set your watch by it. And to be fair, some of the fanbase certainly do not help themselves.

Armistice Day/Poppy season is always a contentious issue for the Hoops support and every year there is always negative attention drawn to it because some simply cannot keep their mouths closed for sixty seconds.

I know the politics behind it all. All Celtic fans do, but it is just sixty seconds. Save yourself the embarrassment of being cannon fodder for the blue half of Glasgow who’s, by the way, over the top celebrations (is celebration the right word?) of a sombre occasion is simply morbid.

However, one thing that went under the radar was a simple act of kindness by the Celtic support at Dens Park.

As the fans waited to see the game, it was evident to some that some of the wheelchair access areas to see the game were at a disadvantage for wheelchair users.

The area of the ground that was allocated made it difficult for some wheelchair users to witness the game and some of the fans very kindly moved back further up the stadium to allow a better view.

Twitter account @CelticDSA sent a tweet of gratitude to the away support for such a simple act of kindness that many would not have done:

Do Celtic have their fair share of idiotic Celtic supporters? Absolutely.

But I think it’s is important to put that into context when the vast majority of Celtic fans are not what they are being allowed to be reported on by the media.

Hopefully those that read this will bear wheelchair users in mind the next time they attend at game.
