Peter Lawwell addressed the Celtic AGM on “Resolution 12” by informing them that UEFA “don’t care” as reported in The Herald.
Lawwell’s response was to a question posed by a shareholder looking for a definitive position from the board (despite previous consultation) and whether or not Celtic should refer the SFA to UEFA or the City of London Police.
Resolution 12, if you are not aware, centres around the issuing of a license to Rangers to play in the Champions League in the 2011/12 season after winning the league title in 2010/11. Resolution 12 argues that Rangers should not have been granted a license given their financial status at the time and that Celtic instead should have been promoted to the Champions League.
By the SFA granting the license, Resolution 12 claims that the Parkhead suffered financially from being denied the greater rewards on offer in the Champions League.
These Celtic fans remain unhappy with their boards position despite the stance taken by UEFA and by the looks of things, won’t let it rest.
Not backing Resolution 12 has cost us several Champions League quality players.

Next season will be my last as a season ticket holder year by year Ive become disenfranchised with how the club is being run our support is just being used as a cash cow for the money men & Res 12 is the final straw Lawwell & his cronies are slowly sucking the soul out the club!

Haven’t seen this on my timeline today but here’s the result of the Resolution 12 poll.
Lost obviously but over 2.5M shares not happy with the outcome. Cannot see this being the end either given the “take it on the chin” attitude today. pic.twitter.com/AF1QcJ2tjX

Resolution 12 is about football governance. It should not matter if the guilty club no longer exist. Nothing has changed in the issue raised of governance. The focus of #Res12 is not an obsolete club nor a brand new one. It is about governance.

I get the fact old rangers are in Liquidation nothing can be done there but surely Celtic cannot accept the @ScottishFA role in what Resolution 12 is all about ,actions by our governing body at that time are completely unacceptable, our club must not let this go.

Anyone else think the timing of the Green Brigade ban was a distraction from the boards inaction on Resolution 12 ?

Regardless of whether or not Resolution 12 is dead, Celtic fans feel let down by their boards apparent lack of enthusiasm for pursuing the issue, it has done little to repair the fractured bond between the club’s hierarchy and fan base.
