As Celtic’s transfer activity ramps up this month, we are all familiar with the trending news stories of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi as the possible new Parkhead recruits.

But as we all know, until the player is at Paradise with the scarf held aloft his head, all we can do is treat the rumours as speculation. Nothing more. Nothing less.

But there has been a story brewing in Japan over the last week or so that could be a massive hint that at least one of the three named players is on the way out of Yokohama to Celtic.

According to Yahoo Japan, the Japanese J League side have been linked with a move to sign Takuma Nishimura.

Nishimura is a striker and currently plies his trade for J2 side Sendai.

Sendai have just been relegated this season and it seems that the 25 year old has been earmarked for a move to Yokohama F Marinos.

Japanese media twitter account, Flat Three retweeted a story about the forward that seems to hint that the move is going to be completed in the coming days.

Could this move be a signal that long term Celtic target Daizen Maeda is about to leave the club and join the Glasgow giants?

It certainly seem like the J League side are looking to make the right moves should the Japan international up sticks and come to Celtic.
