“The man Hugh Keevins got a prediction right about!” – Roger Hannah says Hoops star must start performing

I love it when a new signing also hits the ground running.  I’m always one for giving people a chance when they come to Celtic. If they take that little bit longer to settle in, as long as the application and desire is there, then they get the benefit of the doubt.

Then there is Albian Ajeti. I want it to work for him. I want him to be the striker we need him to be.

Because if he is then that means the team has a better chance of winning.

And I was all for it until the game against Dundee United. That miss. I mean, come on! It was harder to score it than miss.

And at that point, that’s where my patience ended with him because he’s had a massive chance to stake a claim in the team since the Kyogo injury.

And he just hasn’t stepped up to the plate.

Yes, he’s scored three. And yes I defended the inane chat about only having fifteen touches in a game. In a game where he scored two by the way. But when it comes to it, even I will concede, Ajeti just doesn’t have it.

And Roger Hannah of Clyde 1 Superscoreboard also thinks the same.

Hannah was discussing the teams chances against Bayer Leverkusen in tomorrow nights crunch Europa League tie at Celtic Park and has warned the Swiss striker that he needs to get his finger out or he won’t be at Celtic for much longer, “Albian Ajeti looks like he is going to down in the history books as the man that Hugh Keevins got a prediction right about.

“Because I watched him again on Sunday, the miss he had when Abada knocked back into the six yard box.

“That’s not the miss of a Celtic centre forward.

“If you miss chances like that as a Celtic centre forward, you’re not going to be the Celtic centre forward very long.”

With Kyogo expected back after the international break, and Giorgos Giakoumakis expected back on Sunday, it is now make or break time for Ajeti.

I would rather he made it, than broke it.
