No matter what he says, a lot of Celtic fans still feel a lot of hurt after Brendan Rodgers left Celtic.
Many felt he abandoned the team at a crucial time in our season, others understood why he left.
Me? I was probably too much in shock to make a snap judgement at the time.
But now? Now I guess it’s worked out for the best. For Celtic at least.
But it wasn’t always going to be that way. It seems the exit that famous February wasn’t the way he was supposed to leave the club.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph [via Daily Record], Rodgers said the plan was always to leave at the end of the season,“The original plan was to stay until the end of the season but then it changes and I made the decision to leave Celtic in what I felt was a really strong position.
“Obviously there was a lot said within Celtic, outside of Celtic and media but I’ll never let that ever diminish the amazing time I had there because for me it is all about the feeling.
“I understand Celtic people and supporters when I left. I totally get that because a loss of anything there is always sadness and anger and I totally get that and how I left it was the probably the shock element of it.
“I look back and think more of the amazing time I had not just on the pitch but off the pitch and the support I had and the friends we made.
“Living in Glasgow was an amazing experience. We travel up when we can and the experience will never be tainted by anything else.”
I think now, not many Celtic fans will be too bothered about how he left.

To claim he left us in a strong position just three months of the season left, walking out, decimating the moral of the players and fans alike at a very delicate time was only shy of criminal!
The new club across the city had recently hired Gerrard and Rodgers became afraid, and that’s a fact!
Despite the garbage written about Neil Lennon, if it hadn’t been for him, there would have been no third consecutive treble!
Despite the fateful end for Lennon, he not only secured two trophies in the last few weeks of that season, he won the treble the following year!
Then it went wrong, but he still picked up the pieces that Rodgers stamped all over!
We gave him an opportunity to get back into the game when no-one else was interested in him!
Since leaving us for the Sunday League team in England, he has tried the same reverse psychology gig on them whenever Spurs (twice), Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton, and even Aston Villa, in an effort to let them know he would be available if approached! None of them took that bait!

i think that you will find that brendan has been in paradise several times since his departure , and he will go down in our history not for his departure but for his achievments he gave us great times and trophys thank you brendan
