Celtic fans are hoping to see new signing Vakoun Issouf Bayo play together with Odsonne Edouard, rather than be used as back-up to the Frenchman, believing Brendan Rodgers now has excellent options in the final third.

The Hoops have wasted no time in adding attacking talent to the squad ahead of the second half of the season, with Bayo, Timothy Weah and Oliver Burke all adding pace, power and threat to Rodgers’ first-team.

We have looked a little one note in attack all season and apart from James Forrest there has been no real stand-out performer.

Some are now hoping that Edouard moves onto the left flank in replacement of the ineffective Scott Sinclair, with Bayo taking up the role of central striker.

It’s the kind of set-up we saw in pre-season matches when Moussa Dembele was still kicking about last summer, with Edouard thriving on playing with another physical, skilful forward.

Will Bayo be trusted to immediately start games, or will Rodgers use him a role similar to Leigh Griffiths, as relief for our record signing?

The Ivory Coast youth international is in excellent goalscoring form this season, netting 18 times in all competitions for Slovakian side Dunajska Streda before making the switch to Glasgow.
