As the drama and furore over Celtic’s Europa League exit calms, the team head into another vital fixture as they aim to keep their domestic cup unbeaten run going and progress to the next round of the BetFred Cup.  The Hoops are looking to win the trophy for the FIFTH CONSECUTIVE year and standing in their way is Ross County at Parkhead this afternoon.

Celtic have already recorded a comprehensive 5-0 victory away to The Staggies this season and many Hoops fans will be of the mindset that an equal score line to that league match will at least show some sign of the team getting back to winning ways.

Celtic can have confidence going into this match as they have not lost to County in their last 12 meetings and the visitors are suffering from poor form themselves with only one win in their last thirteen Scottish Premier League matches.  County last defeated the Hoops in season 09/10 when they returned a 2-0 victory against Celtic in the same competition.  Lennon can ill afford a repeat of such a result and will likely field a full strength side to progress to the next round of the competition.

Questions on who should be dropped after Thursday nights humiliation will be on the lips of every Celtic fan but Lennon’s men will adopt an attacking approach to this game and look to put the tie to bed early.

The game will be shown live on Premier Sports with kick off at 2pm and build up starting at 130pm.
