Celtic, it seems are working hard to get ahead of themselves in the upcoming transfer window. For the first time in as long as I can remember, the Hoops board are looking pro active as Ange Postecoglou looks to add quality to his ranks for the title run in.

Because that is exactly what it is. A title run in.

And if the board back the manager, this Celtic team could win the title with just a few more additions to the squad.

There have been many players linked with the Hoops over the last few months, but there is only one man on the fans lips.

Jota.

Will he stay permanently or will he go as teams monitor his progress at Celtic Park.

Obviously we all hope it’s the former and he signs a deal with the Hoops but pundit, Paddy Kenny, reckons that there could be a stumbling block on whether the Portuguese winger stays in Glasgow beyond this season.

Speaking to Football Insider, Kenny said, “You would like to think Celtic are working behind the scenes on getting that done,”

“It’s whether Celtic have got £6million to spend. Not in terms of them not having it, but do they need to go now when they can get him at the end of the season?

“He looks like a brilliant signing, he’s got a pretty good return in front of goal from a winger.

“The thing that worries me is other clubs coming in. There’s no way other clubs aren’t looking.

“If the money is there, you would think Celtic could just get it announced.

“The longer this goes on, the more worry there will be.”

Jota has already stated he loves life in Glasgow and team mate, David Turnbull, gave an insight into how the tricky winger is loving life in Scotland so fingers crossed that this deal can be done, and swiftly!
