I’m hoping this is true. I’m hoping for every Celtic fans sanity alone, that the deal is done and we can now stop writing about the next Celtic manager and look forward to building the team for the next season.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, journalist and host of the show, Paul Cooney, was assertive in his opinion that it looks like from sources close to Howe, the deal to bring the highly sought after coach to Paradise is done, “The word is though, (sources) close to him that it looks as though he’s coming. It’s about when. He knew Crystal Palace would come up, probably.
“Newcastle may come up, others may come and if it’s absolutely massive one then maybe he won’t but the word is the deal is done, and he’s going to come”

Co host Barry Ferguson agreed but with a hint of more caution to the story saying the deal “looks close” to being done, “I think he just wants to make sure everything is spot on for him in terms of his backroom team can he bring his own people and what sort of budget is he going to get to go and obviously do the rebuild.
“So I think it’s close it looks to me. If you’re gonna choose between Crystal Palace and Celtic, there’s only one winner for me. I know Crystal Palace and the Premier League is a great league.
“But you have an opportunity to come up to Scotland and win trophies and play in Europe and play in front of 60,000 fans. Everything looks positive to me but I’m just thinking and looking at it because it’s taking a bit of time.
“Eddie Howe is just making sure that he’s got everything ticked off before he actually sings the contract.”
