As Celtic’s transfer business hots up, there seems to be a lot of contact being made with their prospective targets as the January window looms.

With the expected arrivals of Daizen Maeda, Ideguchi Yosuke and Reo Hatate seemingly about to be completed in the early stages of the transfer window, another story has emerged regarding Celtic’s search for player additions.

Dundee United’s Jeando Fuchs has incredibly claimed in French media outlet, FootMercato, that Celtic have been in contact about a possible move in January.

Fuchs’ contract expires at the end of the season and the Hoops may look to try and bring the 24 year old either this upcoming window or of a free at the end of his contract.

The Cameroonian international was open when he revealed in a recent interview, “I am at the end of my contract in May.

“I’m waiting to see something concrete and see if I have a choice to make at that time. I am not in a hurry.

“We are well place, we are having a good season. I don’t want to jump into another quagmire and regret again afterwards.

“There has been from Celtic as well, but nothing more. A Premier League club as well. England would be good.”

So it seems Fuchs is in demand north and south of the border but it remains to be seen if Celtic’s interest is solid enough to make a move in January.
