With the lack of communication coming from the Celtic board at which direction they are planning to take the club, it is always interesting to listen to prominent Celtic podcasters to see if they have a feel or any insight at what they may think may be happening behind the scenes to push the club forward.
Listening to Paul John Dykes at A Celtic State of Mind’s podcast, Dykes revealed that after speaking to ‘someone close the club’, he was told that there will be a significant investment in not only the coaching staff but also the playing staff.
Significant is probably selling this short, the actual term used was “incredible” and it seems that there may be exciting times coming in the not too distant future for the Hoops fans.
Dykes was speaking with his team when he claimed, “There are a few accounts on Twitter that people reckon have got the ear of the Celtic board. You would have seen them. Coming and going over the period. And you know which ones I’m talking about. I was speaking to somebody who is close to the club, and who reckons that there is going to be an incredible investment in the Celtic coaching staff and playing staff moving into next season.”

“Now, when I was told that I thought, right, okay, I know that you’ve got to get the league title back but surely, that level of investment is with bigger ambitions, and certainly that theory wasn’t quashed when I suggested that. And that’s why I’m starting to think around an ‘escape route’, for want of a better term, from Scottish football. Do they have ambitions beyond that? Is the managerial appointment going to be feeding into a much bigger picture at Celtic Football Club? It makes you wonder.”
The A Celtic State of Mind team are one of the more prominent and respected fan based podcasters and have a huge following not only on social media but have a well established YouTube channel so people could assume such a claim would not be made without basis or foundation.
It seems that as we get closer to the naming of the new manager or Director of Football, a new and exciting chapter may be about to start for the whole of Celtic Football Club.
