The transfer chat is really starting to ramp up this weekend as Celtic look to strengthen the squad in the winter window.

After successfully guaranteeing European football after Christmas this year, the Hoops gaffer, Ange Postecoglou, will need to add numbers to his squad to be able to cope with the demands of continental and domestic football.

Well, it seems that the plans are well under way and The Daily Record reporter, Scott Burns, has dropped a massive hint that there will be many incomings at Paradise this January, “Maeda is another player Ange Postecoglou knows well and if he comes in, which is likely, or another striker then January will be a time for Albian Ajeti to go out the door.

“He hasn’t featured as much of late. He played and scored a few goals but doesn’t look to be Ange’s cup of tea and he’s one of the big earners.

“He’s a goalscorer but doesn’t have that movement to pierce the lines.

“I would suspect if Celtic could do a deal they’d be looking to get him out to free up the space for new signings.

“There will be two or three others that come in. I know he’s looking strongly at the English market and he can now get eyes on his own British-style targets as well as the Japanese market which he obviously knows well.”

Burns also claims that Reo Hatate is expected to arrive in Glasgow in January in a move that will see Postecoglou raid the Japanese market for the second time in his tenure.
