Celtic fans have taken Scottish media outlets to task this week for constant speculation around the future of manager Brendan Rodgers at the club.
The Daily Record reported at the start of the week that Villa were set to make a move to bring the Hoops boss to Villa Park after sacking Steve Bruce, but they subsequently appointed Brentford boss Dean Smith.
Negative headlines have followed Celtic around for the majority of the season – if it’s not the manager moving to the English Championship, it’s dressing room splits and players wanting to leave too.
The hysteria at times has reached parody levels and fans appear to have had enough.
There’s no sign Brendan Rodgers wants to go anywhere and hopefully after the international break positive results will return consistently and we’ll see an end to all the speculation.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
Incredible!!!! They print lies daily that Brendans off to Villa, drag out former players to talk white about it, even after Brendan ruled himself out.
Then make it out like a snubAston Villa appoint Dean Smith as they end interest in Brendan Rodgers https://t.co/A0jcQ2ab7P

Would you look at that @Record_Sport. Brendan Rodgers didnât get the Aston Villa job. Shocker eh? Seems like Celtic survived that âhuge dayâ after all.đ

Dean Smith (who?) Villa gaffer. Again shows the utter guesswork/lies/laziness of Scots "journalists" about Villa approaching Celtic for Rodgers. Fuckwits. Every single one of them.

Apparently itâs a big day for Brendan Rodgers as Dean Smith is appointed head coach at Aston Villa! No idea why it is a big day for Brendan but according to some it is!! Maybe he is getting new socks or something. We should ask Kris Boyd – he will know!!
