“They’ve been behind for nine years! It’s embarrasing!” – Strachan’s amazing rant at co pundits on live TV

|

I was typing this up earlier and the more I listen to Gordon Strachan, the more I see how much this guy gets Celtic and loves Celtic.

Whilst analysing todays Glasgow Derby, Strachan had a pop at all his co pundits for claiming that the current Celtic squad, or certain players of the Celtic squad didn’t want the victory in the derby more than their Glasgow rivals.

Strachan reiterated his point that Celtic have been the top dog for the last nine years and they were undone by a man of the match performance by the opposition goalkeeper, “While I agree with mostly everything there was good points. Let’s get that right, we’ll go back into it again. McGregor was man of the match. And the sitting midfield player was a man of the match. So Celtic must have been doing somethings right.

“From a Celtic point of view, a couple of goals could have been stopped, that’s for sure, if they thought about it, kept the focus, they could have stopped they goals, that’s for sure.

GLASGOW DERBY

“And it’s not like Rangers now, this team have suddenly decided they’re the only team that has ever had any get up and drive and wanted it the more, because they’ve been behind for nine years of wanting it more.

“So don’t just suddenly tell me they’ve wanted it more than all these guys out there. So it’s an embarrassment to say, well, they want more any they guys out there. Because I know those boys in there, they had to be trying to get all these chances. So let’s calm down a wee bit.

And we also don’t know that Ajer is leaving, Edouard’s was leaving and that one’s leaving. So we’re all chucking hearsay in here.”

Strachan was on top form today on Premier Sports. Spoke from the heart and the passion he has for the club simply has not left him. I wonder if the board made a second approach for him, what would his answer be?
