Loads of Celtic fans hate the idea of selling Tom Rogic to Leicester City this summer, after The Daily Record reported that Brendan Rodgers is keen on making a move for the Hoops attacking midfielder.
The paper say that both the Foxes and Southampton are showing interest in the Australian, with Celtic placing an asking price of £15m on his head.
The Australian is a popular figure at Celtic Park, scoring 35 goals and assisting 29 in 165 appearances, so it’s no surprise supporters are not enjoying the reports.
However, it could make good business sense for the recruitment team at the club, who will be keen to extract maximum value from the player.
Rogic consistently struggles with injury and fitness issues, also missing plenty of matches due to international matches around the world, so would £15m allow us to invest in a new way forward in the midfield?
These fans have taken to Twitter today to discuss the issue…
Reports that Leicester & Southampton eying a move for Rogic & we've slapped a price tag of £15m – £18m on the big man. Should NOT be sold. He's contracted until 2023 — keeping him at Celtic should be a top priority for Lawwell. HH 🍀 pic.twitter.com/Dd6hmhGEE2

No! We'd bank 14m of it and buy a project player for a million to replace him. We must try and keep our best players whenever possible imo.

We're selling ourselves short again
We can produce excellent young footballers
But not many if any with the stature of a Rogic well never replace him

Tam Rogic linked with joining the Rat at Leicester. Celtic should be putting a full time ban on that scumbag doing any business with the club.
