Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson hopes it’s a case of third time lucky against St Mirren in the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park this weekend.

The 27-year-old has suffered defeats on both of his previous two visits to the National Stadium – a League Cup final loss to Kilmarnock and then against Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
“I have lost them both,” Wilson told Celtic’s official website. “It was Kilmarnock and Hearts, so it hasn’t been a great place so far. It’s not something you think about or dwell on – it’s football.
“Not many of our lads have played there often so both teams will want to go in there and step up,” he added. “It will be a good game and we’re looking forward to it.”
Former Nottingham Forest centre-back Wilson is back in contention for the SPL leaders after recently serving a suspension.
