Time for Celtic players to put Hugh Keevins “powder puff” comments to bed

It’s time for Celtic to ram the doubters home with an impressive win at Ross County today.

All week we have had to suffer pundits and media men telling us our bottle is in question.

And Hugh Keevins picked three players that he feels must give a performance after he called them “powder puff” in last weekends Scottish cup exit.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, When Kyogo come on for a cameo appearance against St Johnstone, he made a goal with a terrific pass he very nearly scored the goal and you thought this guy is just with a pick up where I left off.

“Against Rangers he was anonymous. So, which one will stand up on Sunday?

“Giakoumakis was missed because Jota,  Abada, Maeda was simply too powder puff and lightweight against Rangers at Hampden.”

If those players need any motivation to prove the doubters wrong then there is no better opportunity than today to put those bang to rights.

Some of the criticism of these guys that have put everything on the line this season has been well over the top.

I have no doubt those very players, fired up by Ange Postecoglou, will put on a performance befitting of champions at Dingwall.
