I have criticised Tom, and others, for their opinions on Celtic in the past but here I am about to praise him.

Yes I know, shock horror.

After he took exception to my last opinion about his opinion (yeah I know) I feel it’s only fair to balance that off with a little bit of praise for the Chief Sports Writer for the BBC.

English summation of the Celtic win at Ibrox was pretty spot on to be fair. Speaking on Sportsound, the veteran journalist said, “And as  we keep going on, that’s a brand new team. You know, Joe Hart makes the decisive save on the day. Carter Vickers gets the decisive goal, new signings.

“And it’s it’s a it’s a continuation of what Postecoglou has delivered. It was delivered in a different way.

“It was all about guts, and I hesitate to use the word bottle, given what what happened at the start of the second half.

“But it was about guts. It was about character. It was about good defending. They had all of that, and it was a day where they didn’t produce their best stuff.

“Offensively nowhere near where we know they could play. An awful lot better than that.

“But they still dug it out. And it’s a huge, huge victory for them. It’s a huge day for Postecoglou and his team and I can’t see them losing it now.”

But why no praise for Starfelt Tom? Shocking journalism there.

And before you reach for your twitter account to have a go, I was kidding.

But Tom was spot on. For all the plaudits Celtic have been getting for their flair play and superb football, this other side of them that has been creeping about has been great to watch.

Guts and determination.

That is why the league is over.

Celtic will not lose this lead because Ange will not let them stop.
