We all know Celtic’s attacking threat is second to none in the league.

My colleague Allan Grogan had written over the weekend that even if the main strikers of Kyogo and Giakoumakis had a few off weeks, there was still enough goals in the squad to make defending against us an arduous task.

And it was proved again over the weekend.

With Jota getting a hat trick of assists and goals from Kyogo, Abada and Jenz the SPFL will be having nightmares about us this season.

But there were two players that BBC pundit Tom English raved about on BBC Sportsound at the weekend.

Speaking on the Open All Mics section, English said after witnessing Liel Abada’s goal, “They [Celtic] move the ball so quickly. One touch. Rapid.

“Picking out players and I will talk about this endlessly and I will probably, I suspect, carry on banging on about this for the rest of the season.

“Their front three, particularly Jota and Abada, the goals and the chances that they create, these guys are lethal.

“They are extremely young players. They’ve got Furuhashi in there as well.”

And they are. Look at last season. Jota scored 13 and created 14 and already this season has one goal and three assists in two appearances (SofaScore).

And as for Abada, 15 goals and 11 assists last season and he has already opened up his account with two goals in two games this season.

And I haven’t even mentioned Kyogo and Giakoumakis!

We are in for a goal treat this season.

I, for one, cannot wait.
