Celtic’s transfer news has been, up until now, pretty quiet.

That’s to be expected after a very busy January window but in the words of the great Ange Postecoglou, ‘We never stop’.

And it seemed that way when news broke that Celtic were apparently scouting Bristol City forward, Antoine Semenyo.

The 22 year old striker was reportedly scouted by the club and with the youngster entering the last 18 months of his contract, it seems that there could be a potential bargain on the horizon for the Hoops.

But just how much would he really cost when you take into account the over inflated prices on the English market?

Too much for Celtic it seems.

Transfer expert Dean Jones was speaking with Give Me Sport, when he dropped a bombshell price that will potentially rule the Glasgow giants out of a move for the hitman, “He’s on a really good deal at Bristol City.

“In the last window, there were clubs inquiring about him, and they were told he would cost around £15 million.

“It’s going be a big package if they want to sign him.”

The cost of the transfer along with the wages this deal would bring will be too rich for Celtic.

There is no doubt about that. It seems at that kind of money, Semenyo will be bound to land up in the English Premiership.
