With the transfer window nearing its conclusion, many will be wondering if Ange Postecoglou is of a mind to make another move before it slams shut due to the recent injury updates to Callum McGregor and Yosuke Ideguchi.

Both midfielders face a lengthy spell on the sidelines and it leaves Postecoglou a massive selection headache in the central areas with David Turnbull (injury) and Tom Rogic (international duty) also unavailable for selection.

But transfer expert Dean Jones who runs the  Touchline Talk podcast thinks that Celtic could have the answer in Ahmed Kendouci.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones said, “From what I’ve heard, this guy’s got huge potential.

“And Celtic would be a great stepping stone for him at this stage in his career.”

This is the second time Kendouci has been mentioned by a prominent transfer expert after Vital Celtic reported just last week that Pete O’Rourke had also tipped the Algerian international for a Parkhead switch when he said, “Kendouci could be a target for Celtic.”

Speculation surrounding the 22 year old has been rife all January and it is not known yet if an official approach has been made for the playmaker.

Knowing how Ange Postecoglou goes about his business, that is not surprising and he is likely to spring a move from left field should he decide that another addition to the squad is necessary.

Celtic transfer might not be finished I don’t think injuries will change plans but bring them six months ahead of planned and bring someone they might be going to sign in summer now bring it forward so it not panic it’s just earlier than planned for but have to get rid of players but not easy without compensation due to not checking players out saying that the sqaud good enough to win games against hearts dundee utd and sevco. Celtic will still be favourites and no matter how scottish media try to make out its reserves angi will play angi won’t or players that angi picks think that no matter what Scottish press and media try to make them think these are top individuals and they play like a team they will win all three games where I and all bookmakers where they have no tribalism like our press

As I have said before there are plenty good attacking midfield one I would definitely now would do really well with us is Ferguson from Aberdeen I would get him in now and could play for us vs Dundee United this week end

I can rember mikey Johnstone got injured press made it a big loss wich I thought at time was celtic have moved on now mikey still same player will find it hard to get into first team that’s how far we have come eduardo. Ajer.christie. gone but I think we have a stronger team even with injuries call offs due to country commitment have a look at the individuals not a hearts player would be in the sqaud only worry is the poor refereeing that we get

  • Fun time frankie says:

I totally agree with Jack the only thing that will cost us winning this game and the league is THE SFA AND EVERY REFEREE THAT GETC ANY OF OUR GAMES . DOES ANYONE SERIOUSLY THING THAT THEY WANT CELTIC TO GET THE £40 MILLION BOUNTY FROM T.C.L. AHEAD OF SEVCO ?
