Over the weekend we saw a bit of a transfer twist involving David Turnbull and heading into this new week we’re probably still not sure exactly as to what is going to happen.

It had looked as though he was going to be Neil Lennon’s first signing of the summer but now it seems up in the air with the Scottish Sun suggesting we’re at risk of getting gazumped.

According to the report, Sheffield Wednesday are willing to pay the £3m Motherwell want and then try and bring him south of the border to Hillsborough.

It seems as though the player’s agent has had some kind of sway in things and so you would have to urge the young man not to listen to his advisors and instead look at trying to come to our club.

Sheffield Wednesday are a big side, of course, but they are nowhere near the Champions League and will not be winning major silverware anytime soon.

Surely that counts for a lot?
