Celtic continue to be keen on US forward Juan Agudelo but won’t be pursuing their interest in Frank Acheampong.

“We would look to pursue Agudelo again but don’t know where we are in terms of enquiries” – Neil Lennon

Both have been training with the Scottish champions in recent weeks in order to allow manager Neil Lennon to check on their respective abilities.

Agudelo, 19, is currently with MLS side Chivas USA and already has sixteen international caps to his credit as well as being his country’s youngest-ever goalscorer.

Meanwhile, Ghanain Acheampong, also 19, appears for Thai Premier League side Buriram United at present but was hoping to impress on trial.

“Juan is someone we like,” Lennon told stv.tv. “We have made tentative approaches but won’t be pursuing Frank. We would look to pursue [Agudelo] again but don’ know where we are in terms of enquiries.”
