This hit the news headlines last night like nothing else I had seen.
A triple transfer scoop. I think it’s the first of it’s kind. At least, the first what I can remember. I’m sure someone will tell me in the comments if I’ve got this wrong.
Anyway, I digress.
We all know that overseas news reports can sometimes be, shall we say, unreliable? So sometimes we do have to take them with a pinch of salt.
But one journalist you can rely on is Dan Orlowitz.
Orlowitz has become a favourite amongst the Celtic fans as he is open and honest when it comes to transfer rumours and ALWAYS answers queries from Celtic fans if a story breaks.
So it was with great interest when I read the update from Dan about the breaking story of the Hoops possible signing of three Japanese stars in the coming window.
RE: Celtic triple-bid,
At first glance I think it’s kind of insane b/c I still remember when Ideguchi threw his international career away with the Leeds thing.
But when Japan’s biggest news agency reports it all & cites sources, they have my attention.https://t.co/KrBtIQkwR2

One interesting part of Kyodo's reporting: they note Frontale are pushing back b/c they want "much more" than what Celtic are offering for Hatate.
Which tells you that his contract isn't ending, despite whatever you may have read from click-merchants.https://t.co/0RpB5MFSjp

As for Ideguchi bring a ‘fixer upper’ Dan explained in one tweet about his unfulfilled , “At the time I thought he was done for but then again, as I’ve said, he’s only 25.
“I’m not going to say he *would* be an amazingly astute pickup for Celtic, but he *could* be.
“Ange knows his J Leaguers and what he wants from them. Trust the Boss.”
It certainly seems an exciting time for the Celtic fans and I’m sure there will be future updates as this story rumbles on.
