Neil Lennon has given an update on the injury status of the Celtic squad ahead of today’s Aberdeen clash, as reported by The Daily Record.

The paper report that there’s good news for fans with Dedryck Boyata and Nir Bitton both winning fitness battles and likely to be fit for the visit of the Dons.

That duo have been key members over the team over the last few matches, winning plaudits from supporters for committed performances.

There’s also more good news on the horizon with Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic said to be very close to a return to full training, making them potentially ready for next week’s match away to Dundee and ultimately the derby match against Rangers at the end of the month.

With another eight unavailable though, the squad is still heavily depleted. Olivier Ntcham, Anthony Ralston, Filip Benkovic, Jozo Simunovic, Eboue Kouassi, Daniel Arzani and Leigh Griffiths all do not have return dates quite yet.

Three points against Aberdeen today would be huge after Rangers dropped more points last night at Easter Road.

Going ten points clear at this stage of the season would put us on the brink of an eighth league title in a row.
