Two factors tipped to lead Celtic to victory in Europe

Quoted by Sky Sports in his regular predictions column, former Celtic and Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas has been assessing how each British club is going to get on in Europe this week.

The Hoops have been brilliant so far in Europe and have a really good chance of getting themselves into the knockout stages of the competition – particularly with two good results against Lazio.

We’re at home for the first game against the side from Rome this week, and Nicholas reckons that the crowd, along with Odsonne Edouard up top, could prove the difference in a 2-1 win.

The former forward said:

“Odsonne Edouard enjoys these types of games, so he will want to play well and show his credentials.

“Lazio are well organised and are great on the counter-attack. The crowd are something else on these nights so I think Celtic could just nick it.”

He’s certainly making points that we’re likely to agree with, given that the crowd is always up for such a clash and in Edouard, we have one of the best young footballers in Europe in terms of goal-scoring.

If we believe, and play well, there’s no reason why we can’t get a result this week.
