Two-game suspension for striker

Ross County striker Alex Schalk has accepted a two-match ban from the Scottish Football Association for simulation during the weekend 2-2 draw with champions Celtic.

The 24-year-old earned a late penalty for the hosts despite there being absolutely no contact made by Hoops defender Erik Sviatchenko.

The Dingwall side won’t be appealing against the suspension covering their Premiership fixtures with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Motherwell.

Celtic had been leading 2-1 at the time but County’s Liam Boyce equalised from the resultant penalty.

Skipper Scott Brown was then sent-off following a foul on Boyce and his club are contesting that decision.
