Celtic midfield ace Victor Wanyama continues to be a leading target for English Premier League leaders Manchester United.

Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains keen to address the issue of a side who have still conceded 23 goals in sixteen league games despite them currently leading the table by a full six points.

According to the local media within the city, Ferguson is prepared to allow Portuguese winger Nani to depart the club with the specific intention of funding a January move for Celtic’s highly-rated 21-year-old Kenyan international midfielder.

Meanwhile, Ferguson is also understood to be chasing Porto winger Rodriguez with those expected proceeds from the planned sale of Nani, who has himself been linked with a £20m move to Arsenal as a possible replacement for Theo Walcott.
