Callum McGregor has been compared to Germany legend Philipp Lahm by his manager in recent days, and although he isn’t quite at that level, he has been performing well for us this season.
Although others like Tom Rogic, Scott Brown and Moussa Dembele have had a lot of the plaudits recently, many fans feel the 24 year old’s contributions shouldn’t be overlooked.

Verdict:
Callum is the ultimate utility player if you go by the positions he has played for us this season. According to Transfermarkt, the Scottish international has played 19 times as an attacking midfielder, seven times in central midfield, four times in left midfield, three times as a left back, two times as a right midfielder, once as a holding midfield player and once as a secondary striker.
He hasn’t just proved useful for the team due to his flexibility, he has provided important goals as well with ten in all competitions this season, as well as eight assists.
