Celtic captain Scott Brown produced another excellent midfield display to help defeat Rangers on Sunday.
There can’t be many people in Celtic’s entire history that have enjoyed so many derby days against the Ibrox side and today was another one to be savoured even though the match ‘only’ finished 1-0.
It was a tremendous performance from Brendan Rodgers’ side who, as predicted by many, upped their game when they had to despite a difficult summer on and off the pitch.
Brown was yet again the beating heart of the side, dictating the game and allowed his more expressive teammates to pin Rangers into their own third of the pitch.
Despite now being 33 years of age, none of the opposition in Scotland can touch him in the middle of the park.
These fans took to Twitter today to pay tribute to his influence on the side…
Can I just put this out there, I love Scott Brown. He gets Celtic, he is Celtic, but more than that he never lets them forget it and never passes up an opportunity to let them know.

And also where was all these guys they'd signed for the middle of the park who were going to "take care of Scott Brown"? Invisible. Once again Broony showing Scottish Football is his world and we're all just living in it.

I'd like to see the foul count on Scott Brown today. A number of rangers players targeted him and there was a spell in the second half where a few off the ball clashes happened. Captain handled himself well and didn't rise.
