It was an interview Celtic fans were looking forward to all weekend.

On Friday, the Open Goal podcast team announced they were dropping an interview with Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou, onto their YouTube channel at 5pm on Monday.

You can watch the full interview here:

But there was one part of the interview that showed another side of Postecoglou that the fans probably didn’t think existed.

In interviews, we see a man full of humility, approachable and, dare I say it, a kind of father figure type man.

But Ange revealed that he likes to keep a distance between himself and the players so that he can make sure his decision making isn’t affected by any bias of feelings towards players he may or may not like.

And to back up his theory he recalled a brilliant story of when he travelled long haul with players back in his days as Australian national team manager, “Most people would tell you, if we got on a plane they would shuffle the boarding passes, because nobody would want to sit next to me.

“I could sit on a plane with someone, on a long haul for eight hours, and not say a word to them and it totally uneases people, particularly players.

“I’ve done it many times. They (the players) hated it. It was a death seat for them.”

And just as the interview aired, former Socceroo and Hearts player, Ryan McGowan confirmed on Twitter he was a victim of the ‘death seat’ in a flight, Victim of the death seat. Sydney to Dubai.

“Didn’t say one single word the whole time.

“What made it worse i was window seat and too scared to ask him to jump out for the toilet.

“Horrendous 15 hours, glad he enjoyed it though Face with tears of joy

And the reaction to that was brilliant. Not only fans got involved, the presenter of the show, Si Ferry, couldn’t hide his joy at the story:
