Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has been forced to pull out of Kenya’s midweek friendly against Tanzania.

The 21-year-old has been suffering with the effects of flu since the weekend, although he managed to complete the full duration for his club in their latest 1-1 draw with St Johnstone.
“Celtic has given a good excuse that their players have had flu after the Barcelona tie,” Kenyan coach Henri Michel said in the Glasgow Evening Times. “To maintain good relations with them, we have understood their reason.”
The Hoops already have injury worries concerning both Gary Hooper and James Forrest ahead of their forthcoming Champions League clash with Benfica in Lisbon next week.
