Celtic overcame Motherwell for a third time inside a week as teenage striker Odsonne Edouard scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 victory at Celtic Park.

The young Frenchman was on the end of Scott Sinclair’s inviting pass for the opening goal and then superbly drilled another into the bottom corner.

Motherwell’s Elliott Frear slid in to reduce the advantage midway through the second-half, but substitute James Forrest soon restored the two-goal margin.

Both Edouard and Forrest then added further goals for the champions inside the final ten minutes.
