Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has been nominated for the UEFA Goal of the Group Stage after his stunning strike against Ferencvaros at Celtic Park back in October.

It was a goal of stunning beauty.

The build up, THAT pass from Jota, the control and the finish, Kyogo’s goal earned rave reviews across Europe as the Japanese hitman helped Celtic secure the Hoops’ first three points of the group stage.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou said of the goal at the time [Sky Sports], “Just the individual brilliance of Jota with the ball and you’ve seen what Kyogo’s like in full flight.”

Furuhashi is up against some stiff competition for the award as he faces some fine strikes from the likes of Berisha’s 29th minute bicycle kick for Ferencvaros against Antwerp or Ivanic incredible right footed curler in Crvena Zvedza 1-0 win over Ludogorets and Orsic top right corner screamer for Dinamo Zagreb in their first ever win on English soil against West Ham.

All are incredible goals and well worthy of the award but for the sheer brilliance of Jota’s vision and Kyogo’s control, the Japanese striker’s goal is a worthy contender and it would be a fitting tribute to one of the best goals seen at Celtic Park this season.
