Kieran Tierney was in action for Scotland on Thursday night and some Celtic fans aren’t happy with how he is being used by national team boss Alex McLeish.
McLeish’s side suffered an embarrassing 2-1 defeat away to Israel, with Tierney unfortunately contributing negatively with the own goal that secured the win for the home side.
However, plenty have sympathy for the young left-back, with many feeling he is being unnecessarily being played out of position.
McLeish played him at centre-back for the encounter on the left side of a back three, but fans want to see him either utilised at left-back or even right-back if Andy Robertson is also starting.
There’s also the option of playing one of the left-sided stand-outs further forward in midfield, with the other sitting behind on the flank as part of a back four.
These Celtic fans took to Twitter to share their frustrations with how he is being utilised…

Keiran Tierney absolutely wasted at left centre back. astonishing that we don’t play one of Robertson or tierney left mid and the other left back! McLeish is a diddy….although right decision with mcgregor over Gordon.

If Kieran Tierney was playing left back we'd have won that game

Tierney is consistently played out of position… He's not a right back, he's not a centre back, he's a world class left back. That's why he doesn't play well… Just play him in his best position for gawd sake!
