Obviously, as you can imagine, he is pretty gutted with how the evening panned out, blaming his defence for failing to adequately drop in and take care of the free-kick which led to the home side’s equaliser.
He also took issue with the manner of Celtic’s attacking, claiming that the five shots on target was not enough for a side who dominated possession in the way we did tonight.
Rodgers rarely speaks with dishonesty or deflection in the media and his latest comments at least show he knows where we’re going wrong.
How he addresses those problems with actions in the next few weeks is now crucial though, with a massive home leg against Suduva at Celtic Park next week, before a huge derby against Steven Gerrard’s resurgent Rangers the following Sunday.
The pressure of the last couple of weeks has been huge, but we’re just getting started this season and hopefully we can start to show why we have dominated Scottish football for so long.
