“We are looking to bring one or two in” – Lennon

After a 2-0 home victory tonight at Celtic Park against Hamilton, Celtic boss, Neil Lennon, was delighted with the performance and thought the attitude and  performance from the team as a whole was “very positive”.  Speaking post match to Celtic TV, Lennon said, “It was very good, very positive. A lot of good football. We missed a lot of chances and we could have racked up a few more. Good attitude from the players and good quality football. So good all round team performance a lot of good individual performances out there.

“There was good effervescence about the way we passed it and moved and a lot of good running with the ball. I don’t know how many attempts on goal we would have tonight but it would have been well over 20 so a very good performance.”

When asked about the front two partnership of Griffiths and Edouard and what he thought of their performance, Lennon said, “They haven’t played that much together really this season when they play they are very good together.

“Both of them have scored tonight and I thought Elyounoussi complimented them both quite well. And I thought Soro and McGregor in midfield and Turnbull were excellent. It was very very comfortable and I really enjoyed the game.

“We just take it from here to St Mirren here on Saturday. They had a good result tonight so it won’t be easy but we’ll be looking forward to the game.”

Lennon was asked about Frimpong’s move and with Jullien out, is he looking to strengthen that area of the team.  Lennon agreed it needs looked and said, “We need a bit of strength and depth in those areas but like I said before and yesterday I think it was really good deal for the club (Frimpong) and the timing was probably right for us as well so yeah we’re working away in the background to bring on or two in.”
