Many of us remember the 90’s. It was a dark and turgid time for the club.  If reports are correct, eight minutes from administration and possible liquidation until “The Bunnet”,  Fergus McCann, appeared side by side with Brian Dempsey and proclaimed on 4th March 1994, “The war is over, the rebels have won”.

Since that day, Celtic’s domination of the Scottish domestic scene had been unprecedented, not more so than the recent past.

So as this season disintegrates before us, a Celtic fan claimed on The Record’s Hotline that we need to protest to get rid of the current board as they have allowed the club to regress like it had in the 90’s. Roy Graham called the Record sports desk to have his say, ”So Celtic’s trip to Dubai has cost four points in two home games that couldn’t be afforded, particularly when Rangers drop two at Motherwell.

“Peter Lawwell can apologise all he wants, it’s not good enough. He has to go, as does the sorry excuse for a manager, Celtic are going to continue to regress under these two, they are treating the fans with utter contempt.

“Fans need to get together and claim our club back by protesting in a dignified way and demanding their removal. They have taken us back to the 1990s with inferior players and lacklustre performances.”

A strong statement from one disgruntled fan, but is it an opinion shared by all?
