Celtic manager Neil Lennon was glad to get through another league game with a victory as his side needed a couple of late goals to eventually account for Aberdeen at Parkhead.

“We’re dominating games and, with the amount of possession we have, we should be putting teams away earlier” – Neil Lennon

Dutch substitute Derk Boerrigter and Kris Commons both netted in added time to secure them a 3-1 win. Commons had earlier given his side a first-half lead until former Celt Niall McGinn equalised.

“The game’s 90 minutes, so we kept going. [We] dominated the game for the most of it,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “I thought we deserved the win and I’m thoroughly thrilled with the team and their character as well.

“We’re dominating games and, with the amount of possession we have, we should be putting teams away earlier, put it that way,” he added. “Thankfully we saw it through today. It’s a brilliant win. We stay unbeaten and at the top of the table.”
