As Celtic look to get domestic action underway this afternoon, Postecoglou was giving the fans an update on where the summer transfer signing’s of Filipe Jota, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Cameron Carter-Vickers fare in regards to a start against Ross County this afternoon.

In his pre match press conference, Ange seemed to take a swing at the players that left the club during the summer and praised his new boys for their already apparent commitment to the club, “All three we’ve been working on quite a while so we finally got them over the line now before the deadline and with all three were really keen to get on board.

“All three have the attributes I’m kind of looking for in terms of the football you want to play and the stage of their career they’re at.

“The guys who I think have still got a point to prove in their careers and I think that’s a big part of wanting to bring players here.

“We were working on a number of fronts, but one of the things that always kind of kept pushing was we really wanted guys who wanted to be here for the opportunity to play for Celtic and what it does for their careers, rather than just people seeking a move.

“And happy to have all those three along with Liam Scales who came in later. Happy to get them all in the squad.”

It was a damning statement on the players, who we all know, were very public in their desire to leave the club but also an encouraging one. We now have new signings that look committed to the club which will show on performances on the park.

Which is great news for the fans as they continue to enjoy Ange’s style of attacking football.
