“We Will Have A Result” – Lennon’s Positive Celtic Transfer Message

|

With Celtic now taking full advantage of the winter break to recharge our batteries ahead of the battles that lie in front of us in the second half of the season, with the January transfer window open not only should we see a couple of additional departures, but we definitely need to see a couple of arrivals to freshen things up and give us additional options.

With the squad out in Dubai on a warm weather training camp at this moment in time, speaking to Celtic TV (as quoted by Sky Sports) on Sunday morning, manager Neil Lennon sounded incredibly positive that we would have a new face or two through the doors by the middle of this week.

“We have had three or four important calls between the staff and the club and obviously patience is the key. January is a difficult month to bring players in. Other clubs know that when you are the buying club, agents do as well. However, we have a number of options and got our eye on a few players and hopefully we will have a result in the next few days.”

With plenty of speculation on the rumour mill so far, and suggestions that we’re chasing the likes of Jack Clarke, Andraz Sporar and Patryk Klimala – we all know we are looking for additional punch and cover at the top of the pitch and the sooner we can get them in, the longer they have to begin settling before the fixtures return.
