Celtic fans are the best in the world, that much is clear, and we’ve been in full voice all season long. Even when things haven’t gone well, we haven’t lost the faith, and on Sunday, we were duly rewarded.

Of course, we managed to bag our seventh consecutive domestic trophy win against Aberdeen on Sunday, which continues Brendan Rodgers’ remarkable run at the helm since his arrival.

Following the game, goalkeeper Scott Bain has been discussing the Celtic faithful, and it’s fair to say that he places a lot of stock in the role that they play both at Paradise and away from home.

As per the official Celtic website, he said: “It was a great atmosphere and we’re used to that every week”.

Bain continued: “The Celtic fans are fantastic, whether that’s at home or away”.

Of course, we were away from our home on Sunday, but that didn’t matter. Celtic supporters are always up for a big game, particularly when it’s a final, and this was no different.

There’s no doubting that we’ve played a role in our remarkable turnaround this term, and that will continue going forward. Provided that the players keep giving 100%, we’ll all keep on singing.

Now it’s all about maintaining our fine run of form in the Scottish top flight. We’re technically behind Rangers at present, albeit with a game in hand, and so the squad need to get back there.

Whether Bain will be involved ahead of Craig Gordan going forward remains to be seen, but his talent was clear for all to see on Sunday.
