‘What a player’, ‘Immense’ – Celtic loan star catches the eye of fans with thrilling Friday display

On loan Celtic star Lewis Morgan made a big impression on Sunderland supporters today, scoring in a vital 2-0 League One win at home to Doncaster Rovers.

Sunderland are fighting hard for promotion back to the English Championship right now and after a draw and a defeat in their last two matches badly needed a victory at the Stadium Of Light.

Lewis Morgan, who was sent on loan to the Black Cats in January by Brendan Rodgers, banged in the opening goal within ten minutes to settle nerves and send the home team on their way to victory.

It was the Celtic winger’s first league goal for the club after previously assisting three times and scoring in the EFL Trophy semi-final.

His all-round performance impressed supporters, many of whom are hoping he can stay in Sunderland next season.
