One of the best things about our club is how many great players we’ve had breeze through the doors and strut their stuff on the Paradise pitch.

Certainly, we’ve been fortunate enough to have some top legends of the game feature in the green and white whilst others have perhaps had their talents shackled by unfortunate injury.

Paddy McCourt fits into that category.

The Verdict

He might not be on the same level of some of our greatest players but there’s no reason for us to forget the talent he did have in his boots.

Seeing him play showed how easy the game could be and, if he’d stayed fit for longer, he really could have become a special name in our recent history.
