Ryan Christie completed his fairytale rise in Celtic colours this season by scoring the winning goal in the Scottish League Cup final against Aberdeen.

Just a couple of months ago the midfielder looked like he could be surplus to requirements at Celtic Park, having failed to convince Brendan Rodgers he was deserving of first-team action.

However, bursting onto the scene with a phenomenal substitute semi-final performance against Hearts, the 23-year-old kickstarted a revolution in the Hoops midfield to become one of the first names on Brendan Rodgers’ teamsheet.

He was immense again today, not just because of his goal but also his overall workrate and use of possession.

Where he goes from here is anyone’s guess, but there’s every chance that he improves even more now he’s playing regularly alongside better players than ever before.

These fans can’t believe his transformation and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his current form…
