Celtic have had a very good first transfer window. Or should I say, Ange Postecoglou has.
Almost every player he has signed has came in and made a material difference to the club.
Kyogo, Jota, Juranovic, Hart, Carter Vickers have all been massive hits so far this season.
As all the focus seems to be on Jota getting a permanent contract with the Hoops after some dazzling displays, one of our loan players had been silently working away in the background keeping that back door closed.
As Vital Celtic reported last night, Cameron Carter Vickers was asked about a possible permanent move to Paradise and he said, “It is something I am open to, but I haven’t given it much thought at this stage, to be fair.
“I still have plenty of games left in this season and that is my focus.
“I have really enjoyed it. The staff and the players have been really good with me and that’s helped me.”
That reply was guarded, not giving much away and seemed to be holding his cards close to his chest.
But this afternoon, trusted journalist Pete O’Rourke, tweeted a message that seems to lend weight to the theory that Cart Vickers has thought a LOT about a move to the biggest club in Scotland:

Celtic fans will be hoping that it may not be too long before Carter Vickers signs permanently on the dotted line as he had been a rock at the back and a revelation since he joined on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
Vital Celtic also reported that the Hoops were interested in the big American as far back as June, which shows a permanent move may always have been at the back of Ange’s mind should this loan work out.
