Winger Paddy McCourt has been removed from Celtic’s Champions League squad according to reports.

Governing body UEFA have stated that McCourt is therefore ineligible for the competition for the remainder of the season.

However, manager Neil Lennon has still declined to add either of his January signings, Rami Gershon and Tom Rogic, to the group despite there now being a space available.

McCourt has played thirteen times for Celtic this season while making just two domestic starts.

Meanwhile, last sixteen opponents Juventus have added latest signings Nicolas Anelka and Federico Peluso as replacements for injured striker Nicklas Bendtner and departed Brazilian centre-back Lucio.
