Celtic winger Patrick Roberts is keen to repay manager Brendan Rodgers’ trust.

The 20-year-old prospect recently returned to Celtic Park on loan from Manchester City following a previous very successful eighteen months during which he helped claim four trophies.

But Rodgers had to remain especially patient through the summer until finally getting him back for a second spell.

“[Rodgers] puts a lot of trust in me at such a young age and I strive to repay that,” Roberts told Celtic TV, reports BBC Scotland. “He’s been good ever since he came here and I can only get better for him.

“The manager knows what I bring, he knows the type of player I am and that’s why he’s brought me to the club.”
